Life is Like...

I kid you not, I saw Forest Gump in Midway airport yesterday.

As I undressed down to my skivvies for the security lines, I hear one of the TSA agent saying to the other, "Did you see that guy? What a Forest Gump."

I wasn't sure if he was referring to a passenger that had a thick southern accent, severly doofus behavior, or a hippie long beard. (Forest Gump had lots of attributes that one could recall).

To avoid blocking traffic flow, I keep moving.

I get to Potbelly, buy a sandwich, and head toward my gate. As I walk to the A10 area, I see him.

Forest Gump.

He was dressed EXACTLY like the above photo—blue and white checked shirt, light tan suit, brown leather briefcase and a close shave haircut. Ramrod straight posture, he carried said briefcase through the gate area.

Mind you, he had no coat on, and it isn't exactly the season for such summer attire.

I have no explanation. I just was waiting for someone to yell, at the top of their lungs in support, "Run, Forest, Run!"

(Which is what people were yelling at me, Kristen and Laura as we raced through the Cancun airport trying not to miss our flight back from Mexico).

Would've been appropriate to hear it yesterday.

UPDATE AS OF 12/28:

I have been informed that the cheesy chain, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., employs men to dress as Forest Gump and cruise public places to promote the restaurant. And, while in public, even when not working, they must remain in character. So, that was likely what I saw...

I've been Gumped.
